Culture and Art Centre in Wroclaw
The Culture and Art Centre in Wrocław (OKiS) is a Cultural Institution of the Self-Government of Lower Silesia Region established in 1973. The main tasks of the Centre are to co-create the cultural identity of Lower Silesia, integrate the creative circles of the border region and promote art in all its aspects and forms. Through a wide range of promotional and organisational activities, OKiS supports and enriches the cultural landscape of the Lower Silesia region, cultivating its rich history, heritage and tradition.
the Karkonosze Museum in Jelenia Góra
The Karkonosze Museum collects exhibits connected with the history, ethnography, crafts and art of the region. Particularly noteworthy are – the largest collection of artistic glass in Poland, a substantial collection of 18th and 19th century glass paintings, a collection of tinware, and an ethnographic exhibition – a wooden half-timbered hut (characteristic of the region), equipped with traditional 18th and 19th century furnishings.
The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław
The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław is a state university with five faculties, educating students in eleven full-time courses and five part-time courses. The academy enables students to develop their interest in the field of art thanks to a wide range of postgraduate studies and further education courses in drawing, painting and sculpture.
